Meet StoryKite's Writer-in-Residence

Nancy Hastings has traveled around the world, with a tent & backpack. She is a writer, poet, editor, and retired university professor. She has led creative writing workshops for the National Endowment for the Arts' "Artists-in-the-Schools/Communities" program as well as local writing groups. She twice received the Leonard Randolph Small Press Award for Whole Notes, a literary magazine she founded and edited for fourteen years. As a workshop leader, her approach is guided by this insight: "Joy is essential for genuine learning."
